Term 2, Week 4

Welcome to week 4 everyone!
I hope that all the Mother’s in the class were spoilt yesterday!! You all work so hard, so I hope you’re getting the love you deserve.
Absentees:
Could you please fill in an absentee form either online or handwritten your child is absent? It is legal requirement that I have to ‘resolve absences’ when a student is away. If they are filled in online or handwritten it is a lot easier then chasing up everyone at the end of the semester.
 
Wheels after Meals:
This will be held tomorrow (Tuesday 11th of May). Children are encouraged to bring along their roller blades, skateboards or scooters (no bikes) and the appropriate protective gear. Please be aware that if they do not have their helmet, they will not be able to participate in this wonderful initiative. 
 
Book Fair for 2021:
The lovely Mrs. Kemp is holding the annual Scholastic Book fair for 2021 in our school Library on Tuesday and Wednesday of Week 5 (18th and 19th of May). We hope to sell a lot of books and posters to raise money for our school and there is less emphasis on small toys that often end up as land fill. 

PPL Buddies:
Every Friday morning, we head down to Pre-Primary to meet our buddy class. It is awesome to see the Year 4’s show leader and responsibility whilst hanging out with their buddy. Attached are some photos for last weeks session.

Welcome to week 9. The first thing that I would like to say is a massive thank you to everyone for all the support that I have received in the last couple of weeks. It has been a very trying time and its important to show care and stay safe. Term 1, Week 6

Kaya and welcome to week 6. How good are short weeks haha. I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend. Character Strength: This week we are focusing on "forgiveness."  At OLC we are focusing on modelling and observing different character strengths.  "If we do not strive to forgive and to love, we will not be forgiven and loved either" Pope Francis. First Eucharist Enrolment Mass : For those students that will be making their First Eucharist this year, we will be having our Enrollment Mass this Sunday, 13th March at beginning at 8:30am. Those candidates and their families are expected to attend. If you are unable to attend this mass, please let me know as soon as possible. We will be celebrating First Eucharist for our 4DAN candidates on Saturday 26 th   March at 6pm. Term 1 Week 4

Good evening everyone, Back into it for another week. If you went to Hotter then Hell, I hope you have fully recovered. Eucharist Family Workshop : On tomorrow night Tuesday 25th February beginning promptly at 5.30pm in the hall. All students that are receiving this sacrament are expected to attend with their parent/s. Ash Wednesday Prayer Service : We will be coming together as a whole school on Wednesday, 26th February (10am) to celebrate Ash Wednesday with a prayer service that helps the students to focus their prayers and actions during Lent.  Swimming Carnival : We will be hitting the pool on Thursday 27th February for the annual OLC Swimming Carnival. All parents are warmly invited to attend if you can. If you can please make sure that your child comes in their faction uniform with thongs to wear to the pool.
