Term 1, Week 7

Good afternoon and welcome to week 7,

The DCC B Grade boys had a great win on the weekend and took home the flag! It was fantastic that the next day I was privileged to go to the Eucharist Commitment mass, which was a lovely ceremony.

Eucharist Commitment Mass:
Thank you to all who attended on Sunday morning. It was a beautiful ceremony and Father Ian was awesome with all the students.


Eucharist Mass: Saturday 26th March:
We will be celebrating this on Saturday 26th March with mass beginning at 6:00pm.

Those students that are making their First Eucharist are asked to wear white or a light coloured shirt and come dressed in their Sunday best.

Due to Covid restrictions, we are asking all families to restrict their numbers to 10 family members only, including the candidate.

Merit Award/Star Citizen:
Congratulations to Lexi lambert and Patch O’Brien for receiving a Merit award and Star Citizen respectively. Love seeing people rewarded for the hard work. Well done guys.


Easter Egg Raffle:
As one of the many amazing initiatives of the P&F we are collecting donations of Easter eggs to be used to create baskets to be raffled off!
If you can please bring these in by the end of next week to allow them to be all put together that would be great!

World Down Syndrome Day:
As a school community we will come together to share this day to celebrate our uniqueness.
Students are asked to wear crazy socks on Monday 21st March and bring a gold coin donation if you can. Thank you for your support of this amazing initiative!

Welcome to week 9. The first thing that I would like to say is a massive thank you to everyone for all the support that I have received in the last couple of weeks. Term 1, Week 6

Kaya and welcome to week 6. How good are short weeks haha. I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend. Character Strength: This week we are focusing on "forgiveness."  At OLC we are focusing on modelling and observing different character strengths.  "If we do not strive to forgive and to love, we will not be forgiven and loved either" Pope Francis. First Eucharist Enrolment Mass : For those students that will be making their First Eucharist this year, we will be having our Enrollment Mass this Sunday, 13th March at beginning at 8:30am. Those candidates and their families are expected to attend. If you are unable to attend this mass, please let me know as soon as possible. Term 1 Week 4

Good evening everyone, Back into it for another week. If you went to Hotter then Hell, I hope you have fully recovered. Eucharist Family Workshop : On tomorrow night Tuesday 25th February beginning promptly at 5.30pm in the hall. All students that are receiving this sacrament are expected to attend with their parent/s. Ash Wednesday Prayer Service : We will be coming together as a whole school on Wednesday, 26th February (10am) to celebrate Ash Wednesday with a prayer service that helps the students to focus their prayers and actions during Lent.  Swimming Carnival : We will be hitting the pool on Thursday 27th February for the annual OLC Swimming Carnival. All parents are warmly invited to attend if you can. If you can please make sure that your child comes in their faction uniform with thongs to wear to the pool.
