Term 3, Week 6

  Hello everyone and welcome to week 6! Can’t believe the Dockers won again! I hope everyone has had a relaxed weekend. Star Citizen:   Congratulations to Chloe “Robbo” Robinson for receiving the Star Citizen Award for the school value of Respect. Trying to pick out one person in this class, but well done to Chloe!!   Jumps and Throws:   Congratulations to all people that participated in the Jumps over the last couple of weeks. In 4Dan we had a couple of standout performances. Well done to all those people that received a ribbon for their efforts. Attached is a couple of photos of our winners. Sports Carnival:   The sports carnival is this Thursday 27 th August. Hopefully the weather stays true and we have a stella day! Pupil Free Days:   Friday 28 th August and Monday 1 st of September are pupil free days at OLC. There is going to be some fantastic learning by the teachers over those days, including looking at our Aboriginal Plan and looking at Wellbeing through out the

Welcome to week 5! I  hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I am still shocked about the Dockers loss on Saturday. I hope nobody else was robbed like that on the weekend. The Eagles continue to be on a roll. Merit Award:  Congratulations to Xavier Goodall for receiving a merit award last week! Sports – Throws :  These will be conducted in our sports lesson this week, if you can please make sure that your child wears their faction shirt on Wednesday! Open Classrooms:   Please also be advised that our planned Open Night has been postponed due to Phase 4 Restrictions still being in place. A new date will be advised as soon as possible.  Feast Day:   OLC celebrated our Feast Day on Saturday 15th August...the Feast of the Assumption. Traditionally, we would have had a whole school mass and then our Mission Markets to celebrate this special day for our school. With restrictions still in place, Mrs Meyer has notified us that we will be having our celebration for this day on Thursday of W

  Welcome to week 4 everyone, Great win by the Eagles yesterday, the Blues were up and about but just fell short. Dockers tonight, what a way to start the week with footy on a Monday night!! Hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed dry! I went to a 40 th on Saturday night, I am wayyyyyyy to young to be going to those!! Merit Award:  C ongratulations to Elsie for receiving a merit award last week for the work she has been putting into maths this term. Well done Elsie. Confirmation:  Please keep the students from the Year Six class that are receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday night in your thoughts. Parent Night:  Due to Covid-19, the parent open night evening scheduled for Week 6 has been cancelled. Music Folders: We had music today and SEVEN  students didn't have their music files. Welcome to week 3 everyone, Great weather to start the week! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, the weather of Saturday showed us just how lucky we are to live in this beautiful area. In other news……….Go Dockers! Merit awards: Congratulations to Alec for receiving a merit award last week for the positive way he has started term 3. Well done! Interschool Cross Country: Last Thursday the OLC interschool cross country team competed in Bunbury. From all accounts it was a great day and the Year 4’s were well behaved and put everything out on the field. A massive congratulation to Kai for placing 3 rd overall, excellent stuff mate and well done to everyone! Stationery: I have seen a lot of lead pencils that are getting quite small and are not good for the students motor skills, please make sure they have some extra pencils if they are chewing through them. Haircuts: Boys AND girls hair needs to be out of their face. It is fine to use bobby pi
