Term 4, Week 5

 Good afternoon!

We had a fantastic carnival on Friday with the Year 4's representing their factions so well, they cheered hard and swam their little hearts out.

Our character strength for this week is a great one and quite timely I feel. Perhaps you can take some time this week to discuss as a family where you can see this strength at play.

WHAT IS CREATIVITY?

Creativity is thinking of new ways to do things.

It involves producing ideas or behaviours that are original and useful.

There are two essential components to Creativity- originality and adaptiveness.

A creative individual generates ideas or behaviours that are interesting or unusual and make a positive contribution to the individual's life or the lives of others.

Pupil Free Day:
A reminder that you get a sleep in on Friday as we have a pupil free day. As a staff we will gather to dive deep into the Judging Standards which are one of the main frameworks that inform our assessing of student learning. Enjoy the day off!

Vinnies Christmas Appeal:

It is that time of year again when we ask for donations to the annual Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Years 4-6 are asked to donate any of the following: Christmas Goodies. Chocolates, tinned fruit, non-perishable fruit juices, nuts, small gifts, pampering items, vouchers (Kmart, coffee, family activities etc). Please, no baked beans or tinned vegetables 🙂). Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping others this Christmas.
